Key Takeaways:
This was my first time working in a start-up environment. In SoCash, I was deeply involved in several lifecycles of the product’s development. As a software developer, I started off with little to no knowledge about the coding frameworks used by SoCash. Despite this, I was able to pick up the essential skills and make notable contributions within a week's time. Working in a start-up environment, I have also contributed in other areas like quality assurance and marketing. Through this experience, I now well recognize the importance of individuals working at their maximum efficiency in start-ups. Furthermore, I managed to overcome my limitation of overcommiting myself. I have learned and honed my technical, non-technical and interpersonal skills through this experience. More importantly, I now understand how start-ups work and what a start-up environment is like.

Key Takeaways:
Serving in the Singapore Army for a period of 2 years has well instilled discipline and values into my life. The 13 months of training was a true test to my endurance and mainly taught me that one is always capable of doing more than he thinks he can. Taking up the position of a Lieutenant in Singapore Artillery taught me essential leadership skills and work ethics. Through this experience I have also greatly developed my interpersonal and communication skills.

inquisitive and works hard to achieve the goals set for him."
- Hari Sivan, CEO, SoCash (FinTech Start-Up)
"He is also an optimistic person and does not give up easily. Instead, he always sought advice to improve himself, e.g. actively getting feedbacks from his superior and trainer on improving his role in leading his recce and survey team. His humble and positive attitude makes him an approachable leader, respected by his peers and subordinates."
- LIEUTENANT COLONEL (LTC) YAP YONGGANG, Joshua, Commanding Officer, 21st Battalion Singapore Artillery, Singapore Armed Forces
"Through my interactions with him, I have found him to be a probing person with his boundless curiosity and energy, his wit, his good humour and his blazing intelligence. He is indeed worthy of my high level of evaluation and I can state with confidence that he will be well suited for the NOC programme."
- Dr. TAN Wee Kek, Senior Lecturer, NUS School of Computing
